What is SpeedUp Furious?

SpeedUp FURIOUS is an electronic and intelligent speed release device that requires no external power supply.

It is designed for Yamaha PW, PW-X and PW-SE, products from 2015 to 2020, and for SINC DRIVE 2017 and SINC DRIVE PRO/SPORT 2018-19-20 engines to avoid the speed block at 25 kmH, allowing it to increase its active assistance up to a speed of 50 KmH (info), making full use of the potential of the excellent Yamaha engine.

Speedup FURIOUS can be assembled in a very simply way by interposing it between the speed sensor and the motor using original connectors that do not alter the characteristics of electrical resistance and water tightness.

Once the device is activated, the bicycle tachograph will show half its speed and data making it possible, by simply multiplying by two, the calculation of the actual speed and kilometers traveled.

Furious for Yamaha is available in two versions:

EASY version: from the moment of installation the device is working, always active, not deactivable. Can be installed without restrictions in all Yamaha PW, PW-X, Sinc Drive and Sinc Drive Pro/Sport engines

On/Off Lights Version: by simply pressing the “LIGHT” key on the Ebike, the device is activated and deactivated.

ATTENTION! This version can be installed in all Yamaha PW, PW-X, Sinc Drive and Sic Drive Pro/Sport engines with the following limitations:

1: If your ebike is equipped with headlights that can be operated by the “Lights” button (powered by the ebike battery) this version of Furious can be installed but it is also necessary to purchase the “Y splitter cable” that allows the splitting of the ‘Lights output otherwise it is already occupied by the connection with the lights. Once installed, the speed release will be activated simultaneously with the lights.

2: This version of Furious can not be mounted on the Haibike models with electronic shock absorber system E: I-Shock because the light output is always active and is used to recharge the internal battery to the suspension system.

Furious On / Off Lights on E-bikes of GIANT brand:

– For the 2016 engines it is necessary to check the model of the light output connector that Giant used: If the connector used was BLACK it is necessary to purchase, in addition to the standard device “FURIOUS on / off lights for Yamaha-Gint Sinc Drive and Sinc Drive Pro/Sport” also the “Giant 2016 Light Output Adapter Cable” that allows you to connect the “Standard”(White) connector of Furious to the connector (Black) that Giant has used.

– For the Sinc-Drive 2017-18-19-20 and Sinc-Drive Pro/Sport 2017-18-19-20 engines, buy directly the special version “for Giant” which is already equipped with suitable connectors.

NOTE 1: The Furious devices, WHEN ACTIVATED, due to their peculiarity of letting the motor perceive half of the revolutions of the wheel, can cause discontinuity of supply A VERY LOW SPEED (normally less than 6 kmH real). For this reason we recommend the Activable / Deactivable version so that you can deactivate the speed release in such situations and avoid the occurrence of the problem.
